Small business · technology that works together

Your technology, working together
and watched over.

Akritas Systems makes the websites, networks, apps, and tools a small business relies on run as one system — and keeps them running. You tell us what's not working. We figure out the fix, build it, and stay on it.

What we cover

Most of this is ordinary. That's the point. If a conventional fix is the right fix, we'll use the conventional fix — and we'll tell you so. The intelligent layer is there when your problem actually needs it.

Everyday

The ordinary layer that a business runs on.

  • Websites
  • Website hosting & maintenance
  • Email
  • Phones & devices

Connected

The systems that should be talking to each other.

  • Networking & infrastructure
  • Systems integration
  • Data & information workflows
  • Business process improvement
  • Conventional automation
  • Secure remote access

Intelligent

Only when your problem genuinely calls for it.

  • AI & LLM integration
  • Local or private AI systems
  • AI agents
  • MCP-based integrations
  • Managed multi-model systems

One system, at different depths

It's all one system — you just start at different depths.

The three things below aren't separate services. They're the same job, at different depths. Whatever brings you to us, the foundation underneath is the same, and we stay on it.

Make it work

The ordinary layer, done right and kept right.

“Our website is terrible.”

Your site, email, network, hosting, and the tools you already pay for — built properly, and maintained so they keep working. This is where most of our clients start, and it's where most of the problems live.

Make it talk

The systems that don't, start to.

“Our scheduling, website, email, and records don't talk to each other.”

We connect the software and data a business already uses, so information moves once instead of being re-entered by hand. One source of truth, instead of six apps that each think they're the truth.

Make it respond

A private assistant that works with — not around — your systems.

“Can we have something that tells me what needs my attention?”

When a problem genuinely needs intelligence, we add it carefully: a local or cloud assistant that can read your own systems and act within boundaries we set together. You ask in plain words; the systems underneath stay yours and stay controlled.

The layer underneath all three: managed, monitored, maintained — by a team that stays.

Human-led, by design

We learn how you actually work. Then we design.

We don't start with a technology. We start with your business — the real one, not the brochure. Here's how a project usually goes.

  1. We look

We sit down with the people who run the day-to-day. We watch the work actually happen, not how it's described. We're looking for the repetitive bits, the bottlenecks, the information that lives in five places and none of them at once, the subscriptions that quietly do the same thing twice, and the places where things fall through the cracks.

  2. We design the smallest thing that works

We pick the simplest proven solution for the problem you actually have — and we say so. If a conventional fix is better than the fancy one, we'll use the conventional one and tell you why. Complexity has to earn its place, and it usually doesn't.

  3. We build it in

We set it up properly and bring your team along with us, so it actually gets used the way it was meant to. Nothing gets installed into a corner and left to gather dust.

  4. We stay on it

Monitoring, maintenance, the occasional improvement, and a relationship that doesn't end when the invoice is paid. This is the part most people skip, and it's the part that makes the difference.

The difference

What we keep running

Most technology companies hand you the keys and go. We keep a hand on the wheel. A healthy system shouldn't need your attention. It should just keep running — and you should be able to see that at a glance.

We're doing this to ourselves first. Akritas's own systems run on the same architecture we're building for you — the same watch, the same log, the same boundaries. The company is the proof of concept.

The line we hold

The boundaries

Especially when we add the intelligent layer, we hold the line. Here's what that means in practice.

We do

  • Solve the problem you actually have, with the simplest thing that works
  • Use conventional solutions when they're the right answer
  • Keep managing, monitoring, and improving after the build
  • Offer local or private AI where it makes technical and economic sense
  • Work as a partner you can call, not a vendor you're locked into

We don't

  • Sell you technology because it's interesting
  • Add complexity that isn't earning its place
  • Install it and disappear
  • Let an assistant reach further than we've agreed it should
  • Move your data or credentials where you didn't ask them to go

The systems stay yours. The credentials stay protected. The automation stays within the boundaries we set together, and you can see exactly where they are.

Start

Tell us what's not working.

You don't need to know what the fix is, or whether it needs AI. Describe the problem the way you'd describe it to a colleague, and we'll take it from there.

  • “Our website is terrible.”
  • “Everything takes twice as long as it should.”
  • “We're re-entering the same data all day.”
  • “We have no idea what's running and what's broken.”

We're based locally and we take on a limited number of clients so we can stay on them properly.
